If you are eager to understand history, The War Memorial of Korea is probably the most worthwhile place to visit.  Through the sculptures and exhibition, you will gain the opportunity to immerse in the Korean conflict decades ago.  The museum features lots of artifacts and military vehicles.  Visit to the museum is free; but donations are welcome.  There are both indoor and outdoor exhibits.  There is also cafe to get food when you are hungry.  English tour is available that lasts for about 2 hours; but some won’t recommend it as a 15-minute video in the exhibition can already deliver.

Lotte World is a popular indoor amusement park.  There are many attractions, shops and rides.  However, you should better get there early in order to avoid long queues in busy hours.  The price is on the expensive side in general.  The park would be a good place for family visits.  Kids would have a great time with the variety of shows and attractions.

Love shopping?  The Myeongdong Shopping Street will be the definite spot to look for cheap goodies.  You can find huge range of merchandise from cosmetics to fashion.  Definitely there are countless food courts of different styles of cuisine.  The area is rather crowded with a lot of Chinese tourists.  Big brands or small vendors are competing in the area.  Price will vary depending on the store reputation.

The palace is a well-preserved treasure to understand Korean dynasty.  To get the most out of your visits, joining tour-guide is recommended.  There are traditional paintings on walls and rooms.  The area is huge; and therefore kids may not enjoy as much.  One may easily associate the Gyeongbokgung Palace with Forbidden City in Beijing, because the layout follows similar Chinese style.  It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes for the walk-through.
