Wat Lampaya Floating Market is a compact marketplace just outside Nakhon Pathom in Thailand. The market provides mainly various original Thai food produces. The market is usually frequented by Thai visitors rather than foreign tourists. For private visits with their own vehicles, there is a large parking site outside the market. The rivers and canals that were once used as a means of transport by the communities who dwelled on their banks have now become a major tourist attraction due to the flourishing floating markets. They even existed in the Rattanakosin period, but many were moved to ground once the construction of road and rail networks started growing in the country.
