Ho Chi Minh City (usually referred to as Saigon) is a city in the southern part of Vietnam.  The city is best known for the central role it took in the Vietnam War.  It’s also renowned for its French colonial architects, including the 19th-century Central Post Office and Notre-Dame Cathedral, which is built on materials shipped from France.  Food stalls can be readily found in the city’s alleys, especially in the vibrant Bến Thành Market.
